In Spitting Distance

Performed solo by virtuoso Israeli Arab actor Khalifa Natour, a penetrative look, laced with black humour, at life in the midst of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the experience of being an Arabic traveller since the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Centre.

Khalifa Natour describes the frustrating and farcical journey of a Palestinian actor holding an Israeli passport who tries to fly from Paris to Tel Aviv on the wrong day. In Spitting Distance won first prize at the prestigious TheaterNetto Festival for one-man shows in Tel Aviv. The Israeli director, Ofira Henig, will speak to our JCC group in an exclusive post-show talk.
