Soundwalk NYC
Soundwalk are audio walking tours that use the cityscape as a backdrop for a fiction, like in a movie. The visitor downloads a Soundwalk on his or her iPhone or MP3 player, and takes a one-hour tour guided by the voice of an iconic figure from the city.
This season the JCC has partnered with Soundwalk to give you a taste of New York. Three great walks are available for download and we’ll be running a competition each month where you can win the walks too (you normally have to pay to download them). Choose from the Lower
East Side or Williamsburg (either the Chasidic
Men or Women
only walk).
So, what are you waiting for – enter now by sending your answer to the
question below to admin@jcclondon.org.uk.
At its peak in the 1950’s what proportion of the overall
city population was New York’s Jewish community?
a) One tenth
b) A quarter
c) A third
d) Half
