JEWELLERY MAKING WITH SARAH DREW
IN THE COMMUNITY SUKKAH
Join us at the Community Sukkah for a jewellery-making
afternoon with Sarah Drew, and create your own designs with eccentric
recycled materials and sea objects. Whether you’re already
an expert, or fancy trying something new, come and satisfy your
crafty urges.
Make bold, contemporary pieces that can be worn straight away,
using traditional techniques such as crochet, threading and wirework.
We’ll have loads of materials, but bring along favourite
pebbles you’ve saved, strange bits and bobs you might have
collected, old ribbons/ lace/cords, green twigs from your garden – anything,
in fact, that you like the look of – and make it into something
you can wear!
Jewellery-maker Sarah Drew lives in Cornwall and makes jewellery
using mostly recycled materials combining vintage finds and found
sea objects. Her jewellery is sold through galleries and fashion
boutiques nationwide, including Liberty, Harrods and Browns Bride
in London.
The Sukkah Collective is a sukkah at a private address, which
is being opened up as a small local community space for talks,
meals and workshops throughout the festival.
