Introduction to Hebrew calligraphy and illumination 

Artist and scribe Josh Baum leads an introductory evening workshop teaching the basics of Hebrew calligraphy and illumination. Come along to learn how to create the letters of the Hebrew alphabet and try your hand at using quills, vellum, Torah ink and gold leaf under Josh’s guidance.

Josh Baum introduces a unique combination of mysticism and play to Jewish art and Judaica. Whilst maintaining a distinctive, personal and contemporary style, Josh draws on traditional techniques such as paper cut calligraphy and manuscript illumination. Places are limited to 15 so early booking is essential.
