ROSH HASHANAH MARDI GRAS
@ Radio Gagarin
The JCC joins forces with London’s best independent music venue, the Notting Hill Arts Club, and their legendary Radio Gagarin crew for a wild one-off celebration to bring in the New Year in gloriously drunken theatrical style. The beetroot-obssessed collective of performers, actors, musicians, dancers and film-makers promise to rosh your shana unlike any other: featuring a world first preview of the new album from Manu Chao-meets-Fiddler-On-The-Roof Berlin-based collective, The Shtetl Superstars Orchestra; the blow-your-mind party spirit of the best Romanian-style klezmer in the business courtesy of She’koyokh; the twanging and low-down funky philosophy of Lenin’s Talking Blues; the celebrated, anarchic participatory theatre of Zoe Klinger’s glorious Friends of Gagarin; and DJs Max Reinhardt and Lemez Lovas (Oi Va Voi) keeping the apples and honey flowing on the dance floor until the early hours.
