Celebrate Lag B’Omer the Israeli way - around the kumsitz (campfire). The JCC and The House bring you an evening of song, storytelling, games, food, circus skills, Israeli dancing and a big fat bonfire in celebration of Lag B’Omer.
Musician Jonny Berliner will lead a group sing-along complete with song books including all the Israeli and English sing-along classics; Daniel Silverstein, aka Anomaly MC, will spill the kabbalistic significance of Lag B’Omer in his own unique blend of rap and poetry; storytellers Mekella Broomberg and Rachel Rose Reid will enthral with their campfire tales; Strictly Israeli Dancing will do just that; and marshmallows and hot chocolate will be in abundance.
The House, based in Willesden Green, is a new kind of Jewish
community: both a home to five young Jews and a hub for events,
gatherings, courses and projects. Programmes are exciting,
imaginative and for the whole community, regardless of denomination
or practice.
The House is part of Moishe House, a network of
grassroots community centre houses around the world. Click
