JCC - Fairtrade

GET INVOLVED

The JCC is one of several organisations driving a Jewish community fairtrade campaign. The campaign was launched to coincide with Fairtrade Fortnight at the end of February 2009. Our aim, with our partner organisations, is to turn the entire Jewish community fairtrade! There are lots of different ways that you can get involved:

Find out more about fairtrade:
Order a free copy of A Jewish Guide to Fairtrade by emailing fairtrade@jhub.org.uk

Buy a fairtrade kippah:
Fairtrade kippot have been specially produced for the UK Jewish community by a cooperative of women in India. They are available for £5.

Email fairtrade@jhub.org.uk if you would like to purchase one or make some personalised kippot for a simcha.

Attend an activist training session:

If the plight of farmers in the world’s poorest countries is something that interests you, then we need your help to drive the fairtrade campaign forward. There is something to suit everyone’s skills whether it is public speaking, mailshots or visiting food shops. If you have a bit of time, we have a job for you!

The JCC in conjunction with Tzedek and JHUB will be holding a training session for those interested in volunteering for the campaign.
