OUR COMMUNITY
Social Action
The JCC believes we have a responsibility to the world around us, whether locally, nationally, or globally and social action is a part of Jewish culture. Our Social Action programme, working with key partners, offers many opportunities for you to get involved.
You will have seen throughout our brochure of Jewish events that the JCC is ‘doing the green thing’ – we’re committed to encouraging education, action and advocacy on the environment to ensure we leave our planet inhabitable for future generations.
We work closely with Jewish social action organisations like The Jewish Council for Racial Equality (JCORE), and through our JCC The Safe Space events, hope to raise awareness and promote volunteering and campaigning on asylum and refugee issues.
We work with Tzedek, a Jewish international development charity to provide information and encourage debate on global development issues through our JCC Global Village events.
Locally we partner with community organisations such as the Royal Free Hospital and Holy Trinity Primary School to help them make their mark in the community.
