BACKGROUND

The JCC is doing the green thing and we’d love you to join in. We signed up last year to the 10:10 campaign, which means we’ve pledged to reduce our carbon emissions by 10% in the year 2010. It’s really very simple and anyone can join the campaign, whether you are an individual, organisation or a business. Just go to www.1010uk.org and find out how to sign up.

The JCC became the first Jewish organisation to join the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition (SCC). SCC is the largest group of people dedicated to action on climate change and limiting its impact on the world’s poorest communities. It has a combined supporter base of more than 11 million people and spans over 100 organisations, from environment and development charities to unions, faith, community and women’s groups. We’re proud to be supporting this initiative and the work of SCC.

We’re also continuing to partner with www.dothegreenthing.com. Look out for future events and activities including our ‘Allotment Fruit Growing Trip‘.
