Fairtrade

BACKGROUND

The JCC is one of several organisations in the Jewish community supporting a community wide fairtrade campaign. We believe that supporting the world’s poorest farmers through purchasing fairtrade products is an important expression of our Jewish values. That’s why you will see us serving fairtrade coffee, tea and other products are at our events and in our offices.

TAKE ACTION

1. Buy fairtrade: Buying fairtrade guarantees a fair price for farmers in the developing world. Look out for the fairtrade logo on products on supermarket shelves.
2. Buy a fairtrade kippah for yourself or why not have fairtrade kippot at your wedding or Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Click here for more information.
